    Wa alaykumus salaam
Meherbaani mujhe samjhaade ke credit card kaise 0% interest per hote hain? Aap ka matlab he ke jitne paise qarz liya, inta waapis karnahe? Aggar aise ho tu jaaiz hai.

  2. Asalamu Alaykum,

I wanted to perform Hajj soon inshAllah, but wanted to know information about the mahrams i am allowed to go with. Is it permissible to go with my aunt (my father’s sister) and her husband? Would going with my aunt and uncle to hajj be okay? Or is my uncle not considered my mahram?

Thank you, and hope to hear your response. Salaam.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
you uncle is not from your muharramat abadiyya. after your unties demise it is permissible for him to marry you. Therefore he cannot act as your mahram in the hanafi math hab.

  3. Assalamoalikum mufti sahib

I am writing to to ask you a very important question, for me, i am suffering with a muscle weakness illness which cause me to walk slow, not able to run, i also have to wear silicon(plastic) type socks which are moulded to my shape of my feet, which give me support to my feet, alhamdulillah i feel obliged to do hajj this year while i have the strength and ability, but my issue is the covering of the feet, because i cant walk without these feet supports, i therefore cant leave my upper feet uncoverd as it states everywhere. what can i do?
    WA ALAYKUMUS sALAAM
Under such conditions it will be permissible for you to wear the covering but it will require that you give fidya, as mentioned in the qur’aan regarding this matter. In tafsir Jalaalain it mentions the issue and also what fidya consists of :-
    { وَأَتِمُّواْ ٱلْحَجَّ وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ للَّهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْهَدْيِ وَلاَ تَحْلِقُواْ رُؤُوسَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ ٱلْهَدْيُ مَحِلَّهُ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضاً أَوْ بِهِ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِ فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ فَإِذَآ أَمِنتُمْ فَمَن تَمَتَّعَ بِٱلْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى ٱلْحَجِّ فَمَا ٱسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ ٱلْهَدْيِ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِي ٱلْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُ حَاضِرِي ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ }

Fulfil the Pilgrimage and the Visitation to God, by completing them according to their due; but if you are prevented, from fulfilling them by an enemy, then [give] such offering as may be feasible, for you — a sheep — and do not shave your heads, that is, do not release yourselves from the state of pilgrimage inviolability, until the offering, mentioned, reaches its place, its place of sacrifice, that is, within the enclosure, according to al-Shāfi‘ī; the sacrifice is then made with the intention of releasing oneself from the state of pilgrimage inviolability, and is divided among the needy, after which the head is shaved and the release is effected. If any of you is sick, or has an ailment of the head, such as lice or severe pains, and has thus shaved his head while in a state of pilgrimage inviolability, then, incumbent upon him is, a redemption by fast, for three days, or a voluntary almsgiving, consisting of three cubic measures of the principal food of the town for six needy persons, or a ritual sacrifice, that is, the slaughter of a sheep (aw, ‘or’, denotes freedom of choice). To this [last] has been added the [case of the] one who shaves his head without excuse because the requirement of redemption is most obvious in his case; but also [it is required in the case of] one that enjoys, without shaving, such things as scents, attire, or oils, be it with an excuse or without. When you are secure, knowing that the enemy has gone or is not present, then whoever enjoys the Visitation, having completed it and observed its ritual prohibitions, until the Pilgrimage, until he enters its ritual inviolability in the relevant months; let his offering be such as is feasible, for him, such as a sheep that he sacrifices after entering into the state of pilgrimage inviolability, ideally, on the Day of Sacrifice; or if he finds none, because there are none available, or because he does not have sufficient funds, then, incumbent upon him is, a fast of three days in the Pilgrimage, that is to say, in a state of pilgrimage inviolability. In such a case, he should enter into the state of pilgrimage inviolability before the seventh of Dhū’l-Hijja, but ideally before the sixth, because one is discouraged from fasting on the Day of ‘Arafa.
One has choice between any of the three mentioned. The equivalent on cash can also be given it one wishes.

  4. i want to perfrom hajj Badal this year,

i want to know which type of hajj i perfrom?
    “Assalaamu Alaykum”
If one is using his own finaances then it will be permissible for him to perform whatever Hajj he desires. If it is done with the money of others it will be for them to stipulate.

  5. Sallam. 1st of all i would like to thank you all for doing a wonderful job, may allah SWT reward you all in abundance.

i was hoping sumone could help me answer a question that i am not sure about.

during the 1st ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, if a person offers qurbani , is it true that they cannot shave the beard, trim, or clip finger nails, and in case of females are they allowed to comb their hair. ?

if this is not allowed and a person has for example cut their hair, or shaved the beard, does the qurbani still stand, and or what else if anything does that person need to do to compensate for the action of shaving or combing hair etc etc.

i hope someone can help me with this question.
    jazakallah kahir,

    sallam
    wA ALAYKUMUS sALAAM
Rasulullaah salallaahu alayhi wasallam had encouraged those who make the qurbaani not to cut their nails nor cut of their hair.(Tirmidhi) This act is sunnah and extremely virtuous. If a person does not do it , his qurbaani will be valid and no compensation is required. The combing of the hair is permissible but not cutting. The combing for hujjaaj is not permissible.

  6. Mufti Sahab Asalam U Alaikum.
Alham Du Lilah i did HAJ This year and i did Haj i Ifrad as i am from Jeddah.
My question is whether fasting on 9th Zil Hija is permissible for those who are present in Arafat. if not please let me know as i was fasting there on 9th Zil Haj . then what should i do now
    Anxiously waiting for the answer.
    Wa Alaykumus Salaam
Fasting of the ninth for hujaaj is not advised dueto the fact that they are supposed to bestanding long hours and making du’aa to ALLAH.If you did fast then it will be accepted by ALLAH, inshALLAH.

  7. A O A Mufti Sahib……i want to ask you 1 question regarding umrah

can i go & perform umrah with my nani & 3 other ladies & my female cousin ?
    Is it is permissible
    wa alaykumus salaam
Umrah with your nani will be correct but the other ladies will require a mahram for the journey.

  8. A O A Mufti Sahib I want to ask a question regarding umrah…
That i have a problem that drops of urine comes out from my penis when i make any moment during namaz & i had asked you this question & you told me to wrap tissue paper around my penis so that it will not pollute my clothes.. & i can offer namaz in masjid behind IMAM in SAFF with other namazi people in MASJID & i can read QURAN also
so in this problem can i perform umrah
    Wa alaykumus salaam
Yes you may perform yourt umrah with this condition. A person in your position is called a ma’zoor in shariah and Shariah facilitates for such conditions.

  9. Aslamo Alaikum I want to perform Umra AlHamdo LilALLAH is there any restriction of Age by Pakistani Govt Some one says that below the age of 40 one cant perform umrah by pakistani law is there any obligation let me know plz
    Wa Alaykumus salaam
Sorry i am not from pakistan, so i am not aware of that countries laws. I studies there in the 80’s.further then that i have no idea of their laws and reasons behind it.

  10. Assalamu alakium wa rahmatullah.
May Allah reward you abundantly for doing such wonderful work.
My question is, when in ihraam if scented soap has been used, or scents of any kind, is daam waajib on them? Shukran ma’a salaamM.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Sorry for the delay in the answer. I do not know how i overlooked this question.
If a person uses any scented soap and washes a full limb with it then dam is waajib. However if he washes less then a full limb then sadaqah only is waajib. The sadaqah is equal to the amount given for sadaqatul fitr.

  11. Aslam o Alakum,
I would like to know that if some lady above 60 years want to perform Umrah without mahram then what should she do. Can she go for Umrah without Mahram with a group of ladies?
If her Mahrams have only such amount of money to support her but can’t go with her because it will double the cost.

Is there any relaxation for old ladies?
I will be really thankful to you for early response.
    JazakAllah
    Wa alaykumus salaam
According to the Hanafi mth hab it is not permissible for a woman to undertake a journey of more than 78kms without being accompanied by a Mehram. If there is no finances for a Mehram accompanying her then the journey is not compulsory. Even the fardh haj will require a mahram to accompany.

  12. AOA,

Recently, we all went to perform Umrah. My mother was in condition of ihraam, and, accidently, her headscarf came off while traveling (There was no intention to remove). She immediately put the headscarf back on. Is any dum wajib upon her?
    wa alaykumus Salaam
No dam is waajib onher. However she should give some sadaqah.

  13. Aoa,

I wish to go for Hajj but there is a problem. I realised that I need to pay kaffara for having broken ramazan fasts deliberately, on a number of occassions. It is not possible to pay the kaffara before the hajj this year, because of money issues. Does this mean that I cannot go for hajj? Is it an obligation to pay off any kaffara completely before going for hajj?

    Wa alaykumus Salam
The kaffaaraah for deliberately breaking fast is to fst sixty days consecutively. Paying the amount for feeding sixty poor is the option available if one cannot fast. Therefore it will bear no effect on your hajj and its preparations.

  14. Sir kindly tell can a person wear any undergarments(e.g underwear) under ihraam.. during umrah or hajj..
    ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM!!!
No it isnot permissible to wear any underwear during Ihraam. If worn then Dam will have to be given.

    1. Sir although it is very spiritual there at that movement but ..if by chance sheetan came to men than how would he will overcome it if he is not wearing underwear.
      ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM
He should lower his gaze anf save himself from haraam thoughts.

  15. My questions relates to Hajj, marriage, debts and work.

My wife and me are both working in two separate countries as the current situation warrants this for the time being. Since she can cover her own expenses I normally help her pay any leftover debts. And I have alhamdulillah managed to clear my own debts too now, but some of her debt still remains. I tend to give a fair portion of my earnings to help her.

Since I’ve cleared my own debts, I have begun to save a little without intending to. As it happens, I have enough money for me to go to Hajj this year. I work full time and I didn’t plan for this situation, so it’s very unlikely to get a holiday now. My plan was to go next year inshallah.

I was wondering if I could concentrate on clearing family debts and other expenses for now and do Hajj next year with my family. And if I do go to Hajj this year alone, do I have to leave work if I can’t get a holiday?

    Jazakallah
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Delaying of the performance of hajj is not advisable but under the circumstance that you mention it will be permissible if you intend to do it next year inshaALLAH.
yes if you are able to pay off faily debts you may do so and gain double ajar/reward.

  16. Asalamoalikum

Sir kindly let me know My mother agew of 48 my father died , we are neither rich nor poor we have money to do ohajj but…my mother marry my three sisters after father death …now she is old and victim of Blood pressure and cholestrol and some other deases..it i snot possible for her to go for hajj….due to her health…. what will its solution is hajj farz on her .
Wa alaykumus SalaamIf she is unable to travel and carry out the performance of the hajj rituals and shehas the wealth to do the hajj then she should send someone to do it on her behalf.

  17. If person has been living in Saudi Arabia for work, is HAJJ obligatory upon him or he must be Sahib-e-Nisab for performing HAJJ.
I have seen almost all the people in Saudia living for work perform HAJJ.
    ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM
Performance of Hajj is compulsory on the individual who has sufficient funds to undertake the journey and bear his expenses. If while living in Saudi a person can perform the Hajj and has the means then he should perform it.

  18. Assalam alaikum
During haj the qurbani is done by every haji.My question is “is the qurbani has to be given again on behalf of the same person in his native country”.
    Pls commen
    Waalaykumus Salam
During hajj the so called qurbaani perfomed is a dam e shukr for those who have performed either hajj amattu or qiraan. This does not take the place of your normal qurbaani. Therefore it should still be done.

  19. Asalamoalikum

sir i want to know that at arfat do we follow imam of masjid nimrah who perform shorten salah of Zuhr and Asr as i m also stay at macca less then 15 days (including hajj days)
    JazakAllah
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Yes you may follow the imaam in arafat.

  20. Asalamoalikum

I have a question that a person (rich person) is going for hajj for 17days then due to traveling the annual qurbani is ommited from him or not.
    JazakAllah
    Wa alaykumus Salam
It would be better if he makes arrangements for it to be done while on journey.

  21. Aslamualaikum Mufti Saheb

In the hajj while doing tawaf and going mina to jamarat by mistake(slip of toung) if any one swear with bad language what is kaffara for that.

    Zazakallah
    Farid
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
The kaffaarah is to give out sadaqah for that.

  22. X planned for Haj and completed all formalities of Haj as per Saudi Govt rules. Reached for Haj but during stay could not see moon of Zulhajja but the Govt of Saudi who is authorised by Allah to manage the arrangement of hajj, announced moon based on two witness and declared arafaat day as on Monday 15th Nov 2010 Hijri 1431 as 9 Zulhajja. X performed Hajj with other apprxo 25 lacs pilgrims accordingly since the current Saudi Govt is a Kingdom. Is his Hajj of this year according to shariat or correct or all pilgrims including X has to reperform Hajj by considering this hajj as Non Sharai
.ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM!!!(IN A HADEETH IT IS MENTIONED THAT GREETING SHOULF PRECEED DISCUSSSION.)
Why would you declare the hajj as invalid? When the Qaadhi has declred the moon sighted by the testimony of two people having sighted it and the skies are unclear then the verdict is totally correct. The onus of error lies with the verdict of the qaadhi and he will be responsible for any errors or misinterpretations. The hajj of the masses will be accepted inshaALLAH.

  23. Dear Mufti Sb

Is there any difference in 4 mazaahib about the verdict on traveling restriction on a woman for more than 78 Km? Specifically for the Hajj? An old lady (more than 60 years old) in our family who wants to go for hajj has no mahram who could go with her on Haj (due to various reasons). She was told by someone that it is faqhi difference and hanafi maslik does not allow and she could go with a group of ladies. So my question is which of the other three mazahibs allows for an old lady to go for Haj with a group of ladies?
    ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM!!!
If she is hanafi then she should stick to the math hans verdict as it is based on Hadith. No woman is allowed to undertake a journey for more than three days without a mahram being present.

    1. Dear Mufti Sb

      Assalam o Alaikum

Thanks for your confirmation for Hanafi verdict. But my question is still unanswered?
You can reply me on my e-mail address if that is feasible.
      Wa alaykumus Salaam
Sorry i think you got it wrong. I said the hanafi mathhab follows the clear verdict of Hadeeth in this matter. As for the ameenaat issue, there is no clear hadeeth. If she has no mahram, hajj is not fardh upon her. To skip , jump and change mathhabs is nothing less then followings ones wims and fancies. It seems the family want to make their “burdebn” someone elses. Sending an elderly woman to be cared for by others is shameless according to me.

  24. ASSALAWALYKUM I WANT TO GO FOR UMRAH MY BROTHER N DAD EXPIRED SO I CAN GO WITH MY COUSIN MAMA OR BROTHER FOR UMRAH
    wa alaykumus Salaam
A woman should be acompanied by a mehram when undertaking a journey. Her brother, uncles, sons and grandparents are considered as her mehrams.

  25. Apart from Tawaf of Umrah and Hajj (which is 7 rounds around Kaaba), can anyone go round kaaba any times (say once or twice but not 7 round)? Will he or she get reward for this?
    ASSALAAMU ALAYKUM!!!!?

TAWAAF AROUND THE KAABAH IS SEVEN ROUNDS AS TAUGHT TO US BY OUR BELOVED RASOOL SALALLAAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM. ACTS OF IBAADAT(WORSHIP) ARE LIMITED TO WHAT SHARIAT HAS PRESCRIBED. THEREFORE ONE ROUND OR TWO WILL NOT BE REGARDED TO BE A SHARII TAWAAF AND WILL NOT BEAR REWARD.
