  1. Somebody have taken oath on quran from me not to eat pan (beatle-leaf), but after one year I have broken this oath.

He adopted oath procedure which i am explaining hereunder:

He took sura yaseen because he have not quran on that time and put my hand on it and says that i will never eat “Pan” again.

I want to ask you as I have broken the oath what kind of kaffarah I have to pay.

Please answer as soon as possible because i am worried about this.

    السلام عليكم
    باسمه تعالى
The procedure explained in the above-mentioned question does not constitute an oath and hence there is no question of Kaffaarah.
و عندي لو حلف بالمصحف أو وضع يده عليه (الى قوله) وفيه ن”ظر ظاهر….” (رد المحتار على الدر المختار, كتاب الأيمان, مطلب فى القران)

As for he Kaffarah of a valid oath is concerned, it is to feed ten poor for two meals or to give each of them 1.6kg of wheat or its equivalent in cash or to give each of them a pair of garment which covers the full Sart and Salaah can be performed by wearing it. If one can not afford any of the stated options then one must keep three fasts constantly.

  2. Fasting on the 15th of Shaban is very important to many Muslims. I was reading that the Rasulullah(SAW) did not put any special significance on the 15th, but he fasted many days of Shaban-except the last 2-3 days before Ramadhan. Is fasting on the 15th of Shaban more important than on other days of Shaban? Is the fasting especially on the 15th of Shaban an innovation?
    Assalaamu alaykum
Since Rasulullaah salallaahu alayhi wa salaam should fast most of shaabaan , therefore the fast of the 15th cannot be regarded as a bid’ah. We know well that the virtue of the night of the 15 is a varified fact and accepted by all. Every auspicious night besides the two eids are followed by fasting the next day. Therefore the fast of the 15 will be permissible and be regarded as a mustahab fast. In a hadeeth it is mentioned that Rasulullaah saaws fast most of shaabaan in preparation of ramadhaan. Fast the fifteenth with that intention. My question to those who oppose the fasting of the fifteenth is,” how many days do you fast in shaabaan?”
To furhter emphasise about the fast i qoute from the article we have on the site that was written by mujfti taqi usmaani hafidhahullaah:-
    Fast of the 15th Sha’ban

On the day immediately following the Night of Bara’ah, i.e. the 15th of Sha’ban, it is mustahabb (advisable) to keep fast. Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, is reported to have recommended this fast emphatically. Although the scholars of hadith have some doubts in the authenticity of this report, yet it is mentioned earlier that the fasts of the first half of Sha’ban have special merits and Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, used to fast most of the days in Sha’ban. Moreover, a large number of the elders (salaf) of the Ummah have been observing the fast of the 15th of Sha’ban. This constant practice indicates that they have accepted the relevant hadith as authentic.

Therefore, it is advisable to fast the 15th of Sha’ban as an optional (nafl) fast. One can also keep a fast of qada on this day and it is hoped that he can also benefit from the merits of this fast.

  3. assalama alaikum my question is about my 13 year old boy he was born premature masahallah he is healthy but he is visually impaired and he has a shunt in his head he is a very fussy eater only eats liquidy stuff no meat beacause of his throat he gags when any solids go thru his mouth he eats only very very soft stuff and he gets headaches this is the thing i am concern about i dont know because of the shunt in his head or migraine the doctors even cant figure it or maybe he doesnt eat good my question is i live in canada he tried keeping roza when it was during winter he kept 7 to 10 roza but know this year its longer till 8pm is it farz for him to keep or if doesnt eat much should he be keeping or maybe atleast try it his understanding is ok but in some level his thinking and understanding is of a little boy maybe 7-8years for his age please give me advice the best way i can help him teach about roza to him and also from what age is it farz for a boy and a girl to start keeping roza i have 2 kids 7 and 8 jazak allah
    wa alaykumusSalaam
Firstly and fore mostly i wish to inform you that you are blessed by looking after a child with impaired vision and deformity. may ALLAH grant you the best reward in both worlds for it.
As far as teaching him about the roza and fasting , it would be best to gradually inculcate fasting to him by making him fast half the day and also promising him a present it he does so.Insha ALLAH by offering an initiative, children respond quicker and do it better.
Further i would advise that you give him vegetables by liquidizing it as well as adding small pieces of meat and liquidizing it.Insha ALLAH in that manner his energy levels will increase.
May ALLAH make it easy for you and your family ameen.

  4. Asalam-O-Alikom
I have irregular peirods ,i hear that if exceed then 10 days its a dieses ,after that we can to Namaz and keep roza .can u plz give me details on that bc its ramadan ad i dont wana misses the fard roza.
    thank you very much.
    Wa AlaykumusSalaam
The minimum period for haidh is three days and the maximum period is ten days. There minimum period of tuhr(cleanliness) from haidh has to be fifteen days.If someones patterns are irregular and bleeds for more than ten days the the extra bleeding will be regarded as istihaadhaa and salaah and fasting is permissible. Wudhu will be made for every salaah time

  5. Asalam-O-Alikom
Some one told me that U cant give Mubarikbad on ramadan.(like Ramadan Mubarik).
    Is that true or not.
    Wa Alaykumus Salaam
If your intention is du’aa for the person like sayinng may you have a blessed Ramadhaan then it is permissible. However if it is by imitation of the ways of non muslims who wish you a happy new year, etc then because of resemblence with the non muslim it will not be advisable to do it.

  6. I am 8 months pregnant, I have also been advised drips by doctor numerous times earlier. Also my finger got seriously hurt as I accidentally touched the running fan. I feel a lot of pain.
Under such circumstances can I keep fast of Ramadan.
    Assalaamu alaykum*
Fasting of ramadhaan is compulsary and can not be left out without a valid reason. Using of drips while fasting is permissible.
If a sound and ALLAH feaaring doctor declares you to weak to fast then you may leave out the fast but repaying it later will be fardh. The repaying is done by fasting one day foer one fast missed in ramadhaan. This is the command and hukm of ALLAH in the qur’aanul hakeem

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, (let him fast the same) number of other days. Allah desireth for you ease; He desireth not hardship for you; and (He desireth) that ye should complete the period, and that ye should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that peradventure ye may be thankful.

  7. I have weak jaws due to this my jaws and gums keep bleeding but in low quantity. Sometimes they keep on bleeding in low quanity while sleeping and whenever I come to know this during sleep I wake up suddenly and gargle to avoid bleeding.
If I swallow the blood mistakenly without the intention of breaking fast, will this still break my fast and will I have to keep its Qadha & pay its kaffarah.
    Assalaamu alaykum*
If you swallow the blood unknowingly and forgetfullness then the fast will be valid. However while fasting and concious of being in the state of fasting wand then swallowing the blood will break the fast. Qadhaa will be necessary and not kaffaarah.
n.b. As a word of advise try and gargle with warm water that has rough salt added to it, but after breaking the fast.

  8. Assalam o Alaikum Mufti Sahib,
Could you please let me know the niyyat (intention) for Taraveeh prayer.
Is it necessary to give out the name of Imam while making intention for any prayer? or it will be sufficient to just say that i offer 2 rakat prayer of sunnat/ fardh etc behind this Imam
Niyyat is an act of the heart. We do not need to make a lenghtly intention verbelly. What is required that a person is aware ofwhat he is performing and what salaah it is. That suffices for niyyah.

  9. Aslam U Alikum;

Mufti sb; Please send me your reply as fatwa about the bidah started in our mosque in abu Dhabi by our imam.

He use to say Azan to end Sehri and after 10 minutes he says Azan again for fajir prayer. Is it correct in the light of Quran and Sunnah or not. Please send your fatwa as early as possible.

    Muhammad Yaqoob
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Acccording to the hanafi mathhab there is only one adhaan for salaah and not two.I think you should clarify if he is not giving adhaan for sehri instead of end of sehri. The other mathhabs give permissiblity for adhaan for tahajjud. But If both are given to announce the entrance of fajr time then he is erronous and doing wrong. One adhaan will suffice.

  10. Assalam o Alaikum
I was having bath and was gargling with care but unfortunately few drops of water went into my throat I suppose, not sure of it though I felt that few drops entered my throat.
Has it nullified my fast and will I have to keep Qadha & pay its Kaffarah? Please reply
    Wa alaykumus Salaam

It you are sure a few drops when down your throat then you should only make qadhaa and no kaffaarah. But if you doubt and think it did not then the fast will be correct.

  11. Salam,
    1) If a person misses his 4 rakats of Farz with congregation in Isha and when he enters mosque Taraveeh is being offered. Should he join Traveeh then and there or offer Farz & 2 Sunnah first.
    2) Is it necessary to offer 3 rakat of witr in congregation with traveeh or i can leave it and offer on my own or wiht tahajjud prayer at sehri. How about when i perform witr before taraveeh and then i join taraveeh.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
    1. He should perform his fardh and two sunnat first. There is no taraaweeh without performance of fardh first
2.taraaweeh is between the fardh and witr. Therefore witr is to be performed after the taraaweeh. It is sunnah to pefrform the witr with jamaah and better to do so. Otherwise one will be depriving himself form the reward of jamaat.

  12. Asalamualaikum
my problem during fasting is, i tak food 1 hr bfr azan at sehri let the food get a lil digested and then drink water, becaue i feel the whole food and water near my throat, i keep puking and sometimes feel like everything wil vomit off, i donno the reason as to y? only during fastings this happens?? parents say poor indigestion?? wat do i do? rite nw writing u this question im in the same state where i feel my food and water everything near my throat!! im helpless at this stage i fear if i vomit even a lil my fast would invalidate
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Involuntaary vomiting does not invalidate the fast.
As a word of advise try and stay away from too much fries and try and have more fruits, etc during ramadhaan.

  13. Aslamoalaikum
Sir, i want to ask that , can i kiss my wife during ”fasting”?
    Thanks n Allah Hafiz
    wa alaykumus salaam
To kiss your wife in ramadhaan is permissible if it does not cause arousing of passion and desire.

  14. Asalamu alaikum.
    Mufti sahib how r u.
I am Hafiz Naeem from Port au Prince Haiti.
today i was filling diesel in the vehicle with a pipe from a trailer sucking with my mouth, suddenly the diesel went into my throat and stomach. it was happend so quickly that i could not stopped it. my question is , with this reason the fast will be broken or not. please help me in detail.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam.
YUes the fast will be broken aned qadhaa will have to be made after ramadhaan. However no kafaarah will have to be given. When any non food paricle enters the throat then the fast will be broken but there will be no kaffaarah.
    * By the way i hope you are fine after such an episode.

  15. when i man have sexual relation with his wife from back side. What is punishment for him
    Assalaamu alaykum
To have intercourse with your wife in the baack (anal sex) is totally forbidden and haraam. Rasulullaah Salallahu alayhi wa salaam has equalled it to a minor homosexuality (ahmad0 aand ot is also narrated that the person will not be looked at with mercy by ALLAH (tirmidhi/nasaai)

  16. Asalamu alaikum.

    Thank u for your reply.

Sir i am a pakistani and presently serving with united nations peacekeeping mission at Haiti.
I would like to ask u that how should i pay the fitrana. according to pakistan rates or haiti.
and also send me the complete way of fitrana
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
The fitra is actually a means of showing consideration to the poor on the day of eid. It would be preferable to give it before eid and it should be given before the eid salaah. The amount payable can be calculated on the price of 2.3 kgs of bread flour. Since you are based in Haiti it would be preferable to give in accordance to where you live. You should give it on your behalf as well as on the behalf of you non baaligh children.

    best regards

Naeem from Port au prince Haiti

  17. Asalamu alaikum.

    Dear Mufti Sahib
    1. My first question:- There are may peoples who say only eight rakat in taraweeh. please tell me in detail what is exact qty of taraweeh.

    2. I have come to know that women are not authorized to go to graveyard. But why women go the grave of teh Prophet (PBUP). Please send me detail
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
The amount of rakaats of taraaweeh is 20. This is by ijmaa of the sahaabah and also the amalut tawaatur(continuous practise) of the whole muslim ummah except a few.To learn more in detail read the article written by my collegue and friend click here
    2. As for women not allowed to visit the graveyard that is not from the ulema, but the direct command of Rasulullaah Salallaahu alayhi wa sallam. as for allowing them in the maqbarah of Rasulullaah salalahu alayhi wa sallam it is because it is our duty to do so when in madinatullllmunawwarah. The one who does not visit will be deprived of his intercession on the day of qiyaamaah. Also the women are not allowed to visit with the men and a special time is given for them to seperately visit.

  18. Asalamu Alaikum
Dear Mufti Sahib how r u. How is ramadan going.

I would like to ask u two question.

    1. You replied my question about fitrana that it is calculated on 2.3 kgs of bread flour. But sir, in haiti there is no bread flour, the people use only rice or any other things. So can we calculate rice or not. if yes then how much quantity.

    2. Aitekaf is sunat-e-kefaya or farz-e-kefaya. we are 124 people in haiti on un mission, someone told me that aitekaf is sunat-e-kefaya, can we leave it, please help me.

    best regards
    Wa Alaykumus salaam
Ramadhaan is going well but i fear i do not fulfill its huquq.May ALLAH forgive us and bless us through HIS infinite mercy.
1.Yes it will be permissible to calculate it on the price of rice which is the staple diet. The weight will b the same.
2.i’tikaaf is a fadh kfaayah amd at least one person has to sit in i’tikaaf otherwise the whole community will be responsible.

  19. Asalamu Alaikum,
    Thanks for your reply

Question no. 1 As you know i am in Haiti and our family is in pakistan. my pay is also go to my family through my department in pakistan.
here in haiti, we receive only 40$ Dollers on monthly basis as pocket money from UNO. My actual pay in haiti is 1000$ US, which i will recieve after completion of my duty.
My question is, can my family pay fitrana on behalf of me from my pay (which they receive in pakistan).
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Yes they may do so with your permission.

    1. I am in Haiti and my family is in pakistan. my pay is also go to my family through my department in pakistan. here in haiti, we receive only 40$ Dollers on monthly basis as pocket money from UNO. My actual pay in haiti is 2265 USD (equal to 187995 pakistani Rupess), which i will recieve after completion of my duty. in this situation whether i am sahebe nisab.

I am purchasing bread flour, fitrana of which comes to USD 5$ whereas my family (in pakistan) purchasing bread flour, fitrana for which comes to 80 Rupees (equal to USD 1$). My question is, i am the head of family, whether i will pay Fitrana for my whole family at the rate of USD 5$ or at the rate of 80 Rupees (USD 01 $)

  20. what is the kaffara of zina? since i have been doing it for last few months and i committed it more than 100 times? what i have to do now and plz suggest the method of leaving this sin forever?

  21. Assalam o Alaikum
If I have not paid Fitrah before Eid prayer, is it permissible for me to pay it after it. Will I be sinful for making it late.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Yes it is permissible to pay after but one will be sinfull for delay in payment.

  22. assalamu’alikum wa rahmatULLAH hi wa barakatuhu

sir, fasting on mondays and thursdays is sunnah, but if someone makes the niiat of fasting 3-4 hrs before fajr and keep awaking till fajr without any sehri or something….then ,is it a valid fast?. if yes, then what if the person subsequently eats his breakfast saying that i am not fasting !

what is the kaffarah for it?
    Wa alykumus Salaam
There is no kaffaarah for nafl fast. If one breaks nafl fasts then he will have to re fast it .

  23. Assalam o Alaikum

mufti sab i want to ask u somthing about itikaaf

my aunty want to sit on itikaaf frm 1st to last day of ramadan mean she want to sit in itikaaf for all ramdan so how she can make niyat of itikaaf mean 1st 10day niyat and again 2nd 10 days niyaat and 3rd 10 day niyat or she can make niyat once for all 30days at one time before stting on itikaaf can u plz explane it to me clearly i will b very thankfull to u….MAY ALLAH BLESS U WITH ALL HIS MERCY

    Wa alaykumus salaam
If she wishes to make intention of full 30 days then she can, however to make niyyah for 10 days at a time is better. Remember if she has to break the i’tikaaf then she will have to make qadhaa of her intention. Is she made of 30 then next year she will have to sit for 30 days again. If it is 10 then 10 only. The method of 10, 10 is closer to the sunnah of our Beloved Nabi Salalaahu alayhi wa sallam.

  24. Salam
If a person rubs his sexual organ on wife’s buttocks and ejaculates while fasting in Ramadan, will it break the fast and make both Qadha and Kaffaarah wajib?
Kindly notice he did not insert rather played with the buttocks intentionally while keeping fast.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Fast will be broken and qadhaa will be waaji. However no kaffaarah will be necessary.

  25. Assalam o Alaikum Respectable Mufti Sahib,

My name is Ashfaq Ahmed. I am a student of MS Electronics Engineering in Torino, Italy. My question is regarding the time of FAJAR. There are about 5 calculation methods for prayer times. We friends have observed that there is about 20 minute difference between some of the calculation methods for FAJAR TIME (inteha e seher). So I want to know that which method we should use. We have tried to ask an aalim in our city but he is also confused as he is new in the city. Please guide us about this matter.

I again want to repeat my location i.e. TORINO (TURIN), ITALY

    Best regards
    Wa alaykumus salaam
the most accurate that we have found is the islamfinder calender. Click here

  26. Assalam o Alaikum
    mufti sb
I have asthma problem and i am using Inhaler. my question is that can my Roza is valid if i use inhaler during fasting. if not what can i do?
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
The usage of inhaler during fast is not permissible, However you should try and change the timings by using it in the morning and evening.

  27. Assalamu Alaikum
I live in Karachi,Pakistan. During Holy month of Ramadan while breaking the fast during Iftar time, should we break the fast according to Television time which shows Pakistan Standard Time or according to beep which is from local mosque to break the fast. Or we should leave both and break the fast according to calendar composed by Darul Uloom in Korangi, Karachi which is unanimously agreed by many major Ulama-e-Karaam of Pakistan.
Please enlighten us with your precious feedback.

In my past, some time I broke fast according to Television and sometimes according to beep from mosque. I am very scared if my fasts were invalid due to breaking it early.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Break it with the beep of your local masjid. It will be safer.

  28. Question about fasting. I live in Norway. Here in my city we eat 4am and iftar 10.50pm. its almost 15 hour.
Can i follw london time or any other country who have normal fasting time?
    Assalaamu Alaykum!!!
No it is not permissible. When ramadhaan comes in the winter months then your fast is just for 8 hours. This creates a balance. if you wish to follow another country then you should go to that country.

  29. Assalamu Alaikum
I was applying perfume on clothes and hands touched my lips which brought some taste of perfume on tongue. As soon as I felt taste of perfume on tongue I went to washroom and rinsed the mouth until the taste was gone from tongue. Kindly tell if this would invalidate the fast.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
yur fast is intact. the mere taste does not nullify the fast.

  30. Aslam Alikum
dear sir please inform me if during wadhu some drops of water go Accidently inside the halse. Roze will broke or not? &
    also inform about Laa’ab(pituite)
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
If water goes down the throat accidently while in fasting , then the fast breaks and qadhaa is only necessary.
swallowing of spit is permissible but to swallow a mouthful is makruh.

  31. Salam
Sorry to put you this question.

If person masturbates while keeping fast but does not ejaculate, will this nullify the fast.

Also, is masturbation while fasting Makruh or Haraam, I feel more inclined to masturbation while keeping fast as stomach is empty, pls help
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
How is it possible to masturbate without ejaculation? If its possible then your fast will not be broken. However if a little semen is also ejaculated then the fast will be broken.
    Masturbation is close to haraam.

  32. Assalamu Alaikum
Can a person make niyyah of all Nafil Salaah simultaneously like can he make niyyah of Salatut Tahajjud, Salatut Touba, Salatul Hajaat, Tahiyatul Masjid/Tahiyatul Wudu etc. etc.
In short can he intend all nafil salaah intention together.
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Making to rakaat of nafla and intending various nafli salaahs is permissible and called tadaakhul fin niyyah. (linking many intentions together.)

  33. AShlamualakum mufti saheb. My wife is pregnent; She had been trying her best for fasting but unfortunately she chould not.So What is the masala regading this matter according to sharia.

    Wa alaykumus Salaam
After delivery she should repay the fast by making Qadhaa.ALLAH TA AALAA says in the Holy Qur’aan-
The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong).

  34. Assalmu alaikum
My questions are about Sajda-e-Tilawat. Please answer them.
    1) Is it necessary to do Sajda-e-Tilawat just after reading the Ayats that require Sajda-e-Tilawat in Holy Quran or person can do it after completing his recitation as well.
    2) Secondly if person forgets to do Sajda-e-Tilawat and after long time he realizes that he did not do it, Can he do it the time he realizes. what if he doesn’t remember how many Sajda-e-Tilawat are due on him.
    3) If person listens Ayats that require Sajda-e-Tilawat on computer, will it be obligatory to do so when it comes to computers, television or radio.
    4) If Imam sahib while Taraveeh prayer forgets to do Sajda-e-Tilawat after reciting Ayats that require it. Can he and followers do it later after completion of Taraveeh.
    5) Is it necessary to complete one Quran in year & at least 2 Quran in Ramadhaan or it is just recommended to do so.
    Wa alaykumus salaam
1.Ome can do the sajdah after completion of tilaawat.
    2. It is a waajib act to do the Sajdah. If one remembers later then he should do it.
3.Listening of Sajdah aayats on radio, tv, computer, etc does not need Sajdah to be made as long as it is not a live transmission. If it is a live transmission then Sajdah will be necessary.
    4. If the Imaam forgets to make the Sajdah in Taraaweeh then the whole congregation should seek forgiveness. There is no Qadhaa for a Sajdah tilaawat missed in Salaah.
5.The completion of one quraan in a year is definitely necessary and to do so in ramdhaan is a great reward.

  35. Assalamu Alaikum
Is it allowed for a person to individually perform Taraveeh Salah or is it pre-requisite for Taraveeh that it be performed in congregation.
In a moqsue Taraveeh is finished in an hour and another mosque finishes it in 1.5 hours, if person offers his Taraveeh with 1 hour will there be reduced Sawaab.ً
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
the sunnats of taraaweeh are as follow.
    1. It is 20 Rakaats performed after th esha Salaah.
    2. The whole qur’aan should be recited in taraweeh. should be performed in congregation.
If the conditions are met then there will be no problem concerning the time. Yes if one is a haafidh and wishes to complete his quraan in taraaweeh, then it will be permissible for him to perform alone. However it will be better to have others behind him.

  36. assalumu alaikum sir

I heard the last Ashra of Ramadhaan is of great bounty. In case person doesn’t have much time to offer Nafil Salaah how about if he just attends Isha Farz with Jamaat along with entire Tarveeh & Witr salaah on 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th nights of Ramadhaan.

he then sleeps for having rest and then gets up for Sehri and offers 2 or 4 rakaat of Tahajjud & then offers Fajr Salaah with Jamaat.

Are above actions sufficient or minimal to attain the Sawaab of Shab-e-Qadr?

I also have another question for you; is it 100% that Shab-e-Qadr lies in odd nights of last Ashra. I knew from a Mufti that there is controversy among Fuqaha on Shab-e-Qadr & it can not be guaranteed, it keeps on changing every year. Even it can lie on 15th Shabaan or any day in entire year.

  44. Aslamualakum Mufti Saheb

During fasting if any one forgetfully pour oil in his ear fast will break or not.
Sometimes i get confused with some of my swam;like may be i have swallowed some water when i was making wudu do i have to make kada of those suspicious swams.

    Wa alaykumus Salaam
If you feel water going down the throat then the fastt breaks. however if you fear water has gone down the throat without any assurity then the fast will be intact.

  45. Assalamuelekum,
does watching pornography with discharge of mazi (preejaculate) invalidate the fast…should the fast be repeated?
    Wa alaykumus salaam

    thanking you
    memon mohamed rizwan
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
Since you have completed 30 days of fast it is forbidden to fast the 31 day. However since the others are still fasting, you should not fast but at the same time refrain from eating in public. Eid should be celebrated with the rest but in reality that day is your eid day and also fasting on eid day is haraam.

  49. As sallam o alekum

    Mohtarram Mufti Sahab

Mera dost se Zina Bil’raza ka gunah sarzad hogaya hai wo is gunah k baad se bohat ghumzada hai or pach’ta raha hai.
toba karta rehta hai lekin itminan or sukoon nahi mil raha keh raha hai kaffara ada karna chahta hn
us ne mujhse kaha hai k mufti hazraat se maloom kar k mujhy batao mai is ka kaffara k se ada karo is gunah k bojh se k se nijat hasil karon wo jo bhi bate gy main zaror karonga zaror ada karonga (insha’allah)

wo ek ladki se phone pe baat karta tha gher shadi shuda hai jub k wo ladki shadi shuda hai us ladki ka kehna hai k mera shohar na’mard hai

ne pehli raat mai 2 bar zina kiya phir 3 mukhtalif raatoon mai 3 bar ye gunah e kabeera kiya
wo bohat ghamzada hai or mujhse apny dost ka gham dekha nahi ja raha mai bhi bohat pareshan hn or ghar waly bhi poch rahy hain k kya ho gaya itny pareshan kyn ho tum dono
ap se guzarish hai k mujhy is ka kaffara bata dain or fatwa bhi send kar dain or us ki bakhshish k liye dua karen
    Wa alaykumus salaam
zina ka koi kaffaarah nahin. Haan dil se toubah karle aur pukhtaa irada kare ke us ghande ghunah se dor rahe . Insha ALLAH yehi kaafi he.

  50. Assalam-u-alikum
i have a question: im in Mangalore and i always see that ramdan starts one day before when compare to Bangalore so can i start my fasting in Mangalore and then go to Bangalore… i celebrate my eid in Bangalore… intention is that i get one extra roza as there is a chance that in Bangalore we get only 29 days & by starting in mangalore will help me get one day extra roza.
the question is if in bangalore they get 30 days of fasting what should i do as my 30 days of fasting gets over on 29th day in bangalore
i have heard that after 30 days of fasting one must do eid the next day
same happen last year but thanx to allah in bangalore they had only 29 days of fasting but i got 30 days so this can i do the same and hope that i will get one day extra fasting and get more sawab
plz guide me to the right path..
    waalaykumus Salaam
Firstly how is it possible that tey start ramadhaan a day earlier in mangalore? Is it due to the fact that they are following saudi and not viewing the moon there themselves? If for that reason then starting the fast with mangalore will not be regarded as correct. We have been ordered by Rasululaah salallaahu alayhi wasallam to see the moon. If the monn was sighted in mangalore then bangalore will also fast. So fasting in that manner will not be correct. However if you in a different country and the moon was sighted earlier smd one returns to your country then it will be regarded as permissible. However if one has completed 30 fasts and they fast the next ay then one will not fast one that day and celebrate eid with them.

  51. Salaam Mufti Saab. When i was 18 i was ignorant and foolish, since then i have severely repented. I had a boyfriend for 3 years, and i regret to admit with shame that i used to meet him during the 3 ramadhans we were together and touch and kiss(with tongue). Last year i estimated how many fasts i invalidated due to this and kept them to the best of my ability alhamdulillah. However the ruling seems to be varied on this issue, and i am finding this highly distressing and upsetting. some say only making up of the fasts is fine whilst others say that kaffrah needs to be made.
What is your opinion on this? is what i have done sufficient or will i need to do kaffrah?
If i have to do kaffrah, can i pay for it instead?
If kaffrah is necessary, do i need to just do one kaffrah or one for each year?

I deeply regret what i have done, and advise readers in a similar situation to abstain. Allah swt knows how much i regretted and felt sickened by myself. May he guide us all on the straight path, ameen.
One request, could you please notify me via e-mail when my question has been responded to?
    JazakAllah Khayrun
    wa iyyakum w alaykumus Salaam
If saliva of the opposite was taken in then kaffaarah is necesary. Kaffaarah for each year separate. One has to fst if one is capable. This is recompense for the wrong committed. If no saliva was taken in then it will suffice.

  52. salam
mera sawal hai k rozay mai girl friend ko sirf kiss krnay se roza tout to nhi jata na?
    wa alaykumus Salaam
Ager inzaal ho tu toot jata he aur ager koi inzaal na ho tu nahin tootta.

  53. Asalam o allaikum,
My question is that, If for some reason I have to get vaccinated for some disease during fasting time, does that break my fasting?
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
No it will break your fast.

  54. Asalam alaykum.
Sheghe help know what type of kafarrah i should do as it happened twice having sex with husband during ramadhan afternoon…
I know we break our fast, what is the kaffarah for this iam so sacred n vrry sad about this
    Wa alaykumus Salaam
60 days of continuous fast is he kaffarah for breking the fast.By continuous i mean that a person fasts the normal time of fasting but completes the 60 fasts without a break of a day in between.

  55. AoA
I am Pilot in Air Force and i Can not fast during ramazan because of flying duties and neither i can fast in the rest of year due to my job demands, kindly guide me in light of Shariah what should i do to compensate!

    1. و عليكم السلام
What stop you from fasting while piloting? This is no sharia excuse. Therefore not fasting will be a sin.

  56. Assalam O Alaikum
