Salamu Alaikum Shaikh i have a question regarding two scholars
what about their aqeedah/manhaj are they ahle sunnah wal jamaah
Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah Is the group which strictly adheres to the sunnah of the beloved Nabee and the way of Sahabah-companions. Whoever follows any other path other than that of beloved Nabee and Sahabah is not from the Ahlussunnah Wal-Jama’ah.
Syed Abul A’laa Maududi had shown disrespect to the Sahabah where as Ahmed Deedat was influenced by his Guru Joseph Perdu, Bahaee and Rashad Khalifah who had publicly committed Kurf by declaring the last two verses of Suratut-Taubah false. Apart from this, Deedat had said in his lectures and written in his book that Jesus was placed on the cross but did not die. He only fainted. This statement is against the open and clear believe of Muslims that Jesus was not place on the Crosse as the Glorious Qur’aan says, “And because of their saying, “We killed Al-Masih `Isa, son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah,” but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared as that to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they did not kill him. But Allah raised him up unto Himself. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.” (Suratun-Nisaa: 157-159)
Therefore, Maududi and Ahmad Deedat are far from Ahlussunnah Wal Jama’ah.
