Imam Ahmed

And al-Khallaal said: ‘Abdul-Malik Ibn ‘Abdul-Hameed informed me saying: I heard Aba ‘Abdullaah say: “Whosoever reviles the (Companions (radiyallaahu ‘anhum), then I fear disbelief for him like the Rawaafid.” Then he said, “Whosoever reviles the (Companions of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallarn), then we do not believe he is safe from having rejected the Religion.” [Refer to as-Sunnah (2/557-558) of al-Khaliaal.]

780 – وأخبرني عبدالملك بن عبدالحميد قال سمعت أبا عبدالله قال من شتم أخاف عليه الكفر مثل الروافض ثم قال من شتم أصحاب النبي لا نأمن أن يكون قد مرق عن الدين

 

 

And Imaam Ahmad also said, “They are those who free themselves from the (Companions of Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and they curse them and belittle them. They declare the Imaams disbelievers, except four: ‘Alee, ‘Ammaar, al-Miqdaad and Salmaan. And the Raafidah do not have anything to do with Islaam.” [Refer to Usoolus-Sunnah (p. 82) of Ahmad Ibn Hanbal.]

 

 

Can’t find it in usul as-Sunnah

 

 

And he said: ‘Abdullaah Ibn Ahmad Ibn Hanbal informed me saying: I asked my father about a man who reviled a man from amongst the Companions of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). So he said, “I do not hold him to be upon Islaam.” [Refer to as-Sunnah (2/558) of al-Khallaal.]

782 – أخبرنا عبدالله بن أحمد بن حنبل قال سألت أبي عن رجل شتم رجلا من أصحاب النبي فقال ما أراه على الإسلام

 

Ahmad Ibn Yoonus (d.134H):

Ahmad Ibn Yoonus said, “If a Jew were to sacrifice a lamb and a Raafidee were to sacrifice, I would surely eat the sacrifice of the Jew. And I would not eat the sacrifice of the Raafidee because he is an apostate from Islaam.” [Refer to as-Saarimul-Maslool (p. 570)]

 

و قال أحمد بن يونس : [ لو أن يهوديا ذبح شاة و ذبح رافضي لأكلت ذبيحة اليهودي و لم آكل ذبيحة الرافضي لأنه مرتد عن الإسلام ]

 

 

Ibn Qutaybah ad-Deenawree (d.276H):

Ibn Qutaybah said, “Because the extremism of the Raafidah in love for ‘Alee (radiyallaaliu ‘anhu) resembles the precedence that he and the (Companions would give to the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa saliam) and their claims of him sharing in Prophethood along with the Prophet and their ascribing knowledge of the Unseen to their imams and these statements and secret affairs are combined with lying and disbelief through excessive ignorance and stupidity.” [Refer to al-Ikhtilaaf fil-Lafdh war-Radd ‘alal-Jahmiyyah wal-Mushabbihah (p. 47) of Ibn Qutaybah]

Abul-Mudhaffar as-Sam’aanee (d.489H):

Imaam Abul-Mudhaffar as-Sam’aanee – rahimullaah – said, “The Ummah has a consensus (ijmaa’) on the takfeer of the Imaamiyyah, because they believe the Companions are misguided, they reject their consensus and they attribute to them that which does not befit them.” [Refer to al-Ansaab (6/341) of as-Sam’aanee]

 

 

Aboo Haamid Muhammad al-Maqdisee (d.744H):

He said after speaking about the sects and the belief’s of the Raafidah, “It is not hidden from anyone who possesses insight and understanding from amongst the Muslims that most of what we have discussed previously from the topic of the beliefs of this group, the Raafidah, along with their various groupings, is clear disbelief and stubborn rejection along with disgraceful ignorance. The careful one will not hesitate in takfeer of them and judging them to have become apostates from the Religion of Islaam.” [Refer to ar-Risaalah fir-Radd ‘alar-Raafidah (p. 200) of al-Maqdisee]

Imam Shafi on Shias

 

1. Al-Harawee relates from Yoosuf Ibn Yahyaa al-Buwaytee who said, ‘I asked ash-Shaafi’ee, ‘Can I pray behind a Raafidee?’ He said, ‘Do not pray behind the Raafidee, nor the Qadaree, nor the Murjiyee’. I said, Describe them to me.’ He said, `The one who says that eemaan is statement (only), then he is Murjiyee`. And whosoever says that Aboo Bakr and ‘Umar are not the two imaams, then he is a Raafidee. And whosoever places the Will for himself, then he is Qadaree.”

 

Dhammul-Kalaam (qaaf/215) and it was mentioned by adh-Dhahabee in as-Siyar (10/31).

سمعت البويطي يقول: سألت الشافعي: أصلي خلف الرافضي ؟ قال: لا تصل خلف الرافضي، ولا القدري، ولا المرجئ.

قلت: صفهم لنا.

قال: من قال: الايمان قول، فهو مرجئ، ومن قال: إن أبا بكر وعمر ليسا بإمامين، فهو رافضي، ومن جعل المشيئة إلى نفسه، فهو قدري

Here are the quote from as-Sarim al-Maslul:

 

و كذلك قال عبد الله بن إدريس من أعيان أئمة الكوفة : ليس لرافضي شفعة إلا لمسلم

قال أحمد في رواية أبي طالب في الرجل يشتم عثمان : هذا زندقة و قال في رواية المروزي : [ من شتم أبا بكر و عمر و عائشة ما أراه على الإسلام ]

 

Here is the one from mirqat of mulla ali qari:

الصحيح المختار الذي قاله الأكثرون أن الخوارج كسائر أهل البدع لا تكفر قلت وهذا في غير حق الرافضة الخارجة في

زماننا فإنهم يعتقدون كفر أكثر الصحابة فضلا عن سائر أهل السنة والجماعة فهم كفرة بالإجماع بلا نزاع

 

 

الصواعق المحرقة

ومن هذه الآية أخذ الإمام مالك في رواية عنه بكفر الروافض الذين يبغضون الصحابة قال لأن الصحابة يغيظونهم ومن غاظه الصحابة فهو كافر

وهو مأخذ حسن يشهد له ظاهر الآية ومن ثم وافقه الشافعي رضي الله تعالى عنهما في قوله بكفرهم ووافقه أيضا جماعه من الأئمة

Assawaaiqul Muhriqa

And from this verse , Imaam Maalik rahimahullah,as reported from him, Had deducted the verdict of KUFr against those whoshow hatred to the Sahaabah radhiyaallahu anhum. He further states because the Sahaabah causes them anger and every individual who is angered by the Sahaabah is a KAAFir. This extraction is excellent as the verse in itself bears testimony to it. Therefore Imaam shafiee rahimahullaah has Agreed with Him (imam maalik) on the verdict of declaring them Kaafir and a large group of the scholars too.

الصارم المسلول

و قال أحمد بن يونس : [ لو أن يهوديا ذبح شاة و ذبح رافضي لأكلت ذبيحة اليهودي و لم آكل ذبيحة الرافضي لأنه مرتد عن الإسلام ]

و كذلك قال أبو بكر بن هاني : لا تؤكل ذبيحة الروافض و القدرية كما لا تؤكل ذبيحة المرتد مع أنه تؤكل ذبيحة الكتابي لأن هؤلاء يقامون مقام المرتد و أهل الذمة يقرون على دينهم و تؤخذ منهم الجزية

As sarmul Maslool

Ahmad bin younas rahimahullah mentions “ If a jews slaughters and a Raafidhi slaughters a sheep, I will eat the slaughtered animal of the Jew and not that of the raafidhi – Because He is an Apostate from Islam (I.e. The raafidhi) Similarily, Abu Bakr bin Hani rahimahullaah has mentioned, “ the Slaughtered animal of the qadiriyyah and the rawaafidh are not eaten as the slaughtered animal of any Murtad (apostate) with the fact that the slaughtered animal of the people of the book because they take the position of an apostate whereas the People of the book who live in islamic lands remain practising on their religions and they pay jizya .

 

السنة للخلال – (ج 3 / ص 493)

779 – أخبرنا أبو بكر المروذي قال سألت أبا عبدالله عن من يشتم أبا بكر وعمر وعائشة قال ما رآه على الإسلام قال وسمعت أبا عبدالله يقول قال مالك الذي يشتم أصحاب النبي ليس لهم سهم أو قال نصيب في الإسلام

As sunna lil khilaal

Abu Bakr alwarwazi rahimahullaah mentions “ I asked abu abdullaah concerning the individual that verbally abuses Abu Bakr, Umar andf A’isha Radhiyallahu anhum.” He replied “ I do not regard them to be muslim.” He further says “ I have heard Maalik rahimahullah say, “ whoever Verbally abuses the Sahaabah of Rasulullaah saaws he has no share in islam.” P493 volume 3

781 – أخبرنا زكريا بن يحيى قال ثنا أبو طالب أنه قال لأبي عبدالله الرجل يشتم عثمان فأخبروني أن رجلا تكلم فيه فقال هذه زندقة

Zakariyyah bin yahya mentions he has heard Abu taalib mention that He mentioned to abu abdullah concerning an individual who verbally abuses Uthman radhiyalaahu anhu and people have mentioned this fact to me tha he speaks ill of uthman r.a. He replied they (the ones who speak ill) are zindeeqs.” p493 v3

783 – أخبرني يوسف بن موسى موسى أن أبا عبدالله سئل وأخبرني علي بن عبدالصمد قال سألت أحمد بن حنبل عن جار لنا رافضي يسلم

علي أرد عليه قال لا

yousuf bin musa mentions that abu abdullah as asked -this was mentioned to me by ali bin abdus samad- He replied I asked Imam ahmad bin Hanbal concrning a rafidhi neighbour who greets me , should I answer his salaam?” He replied “No” p493 v3

784 – أخبرنا إسماعيل بن إسحاق الثقفي النيسابوري أن أبا عبدالله سئل عن رجل له جار رافضي يسلم عليه قال لا وإذا سلم عليه لا يرد عليه

isma’il bin ishaaq as saqfi an nisaapuri mentions that abu abdullaah ws asked concerning greeting ones neighbour who is a raafidhi? He replied “dont greet him and if he greets you dont answer him.” p 494 v3

785 – كتب إلي يوسف بن عبدالله قال ثنا الحسن بن علي بن الحسن أنه سأل أبا عبدالله عن صاحب بدعة يسلم عليه قال إذا كان جهميا أو قدريا أو رافضيا داعية فلا يصلي عليه ولا يسلم عليه

As sunna lil Khilaal

yousuf bin abdullah narrates from hassen bin ali bin hassan that he asked abu abdullah about greeting the ahlul bid3ah, He replied “ If they are Jahmi, Qaadiri or raafidhi then neither greet them nor bless them٫” p494 v3

786 – أخبرني محمد بن الحسين أن الفضل بن زياد حدثهم أن أبا عبدالله قال الرافضة لا تكلمهم

muhammed bin alhussain mentions fadhal bin ziyad narrates that abu abdullah said dont speak to a raafidhi” p494 v3

788 – أخبرني حرب قال حدثني محمد بن عبدالرحمن الجعفي قال ثنا حسين بن علي عن هاني بن أيوب قال سألت محارب بن دثار عن غيبته الرافضة قال إنهم إذا لقوم صدق قال حسين لم ير بغيبتهم بأسا

 

As sunna lil Khilaal

Harb mentions that muhammed bin abdur rahman alju3fi narrates that husain bin ali narrates from hani bin ayyoub that he asked muharib bin disthar concerning backbiting the raafidha . He mentioned (sarcasically) “they are a very truthful nation.” Husain mentions that it seems that he saw no problem with backbiting the rawaafidh
